Mossbrook School's Classroom of the Future is a project funded by the Department for Education and Skills, exploring a prototype for the future of classroom design. It is is one of four projects in the Sheffield area taking on board the theme of technology in the 21st century classroom.

In November 2001, Classroom of the Future architect Sarah Wigglesworth and artist Susan Collins were awarded a Royal Society of the Arts 'Art for Architecture' grant to collaborate on integrating artwork into Mossbrook's Classroom of the Future. This website focusses on the outcomes of that collaboration.

In September 2003 Mossbrook School was awarded an Arts Council of England Grant to enable the proposals to be integrated into the fabric of the Classroom.

Already in use during 2004, the Classroom is being officially opened in April 2005.
